The end of an era

There have been a lot of changes here at my house. Big changes. I have been homeschooling for 11yrs. And I have loved it. (most of it) My boys are almost 14 now. They have many learning challenges, including being autistic. We have had many challenges in raising and teaching them. With the help of their counselor we have decided to try and put the boys in public school. This was not an easy decision to make, but I think it is the right one. We will meet with the principle and special ed teachers on the 8th, because they will be in a separate class from the general classrooms, and will need special education. I hope the meeting goes well. We could use your prayers. Also, my daughter who is in high school, will also be going to public school. I want her to have a diploma and this way she will. This means I will no longer be homeschooling. It is the end of an era in my life. But, the future looks really good for us. God has a plan, and in Him I trust.

Your family is in my prayers as you make this transition. May God bless.

The meeting went well. Everything is going great so far. I guess I really need to updater my blog more often, huh? :)

I stopped homeschooling a couple of years ago. It was a hard adjustment at first but it has ended up to be a good thing for our family. The kids have had many more opportunities than I had been able to give them. So far, so good.
